Blue Hill Harbor School Biology Class Workshop

Our executive director, Dr. Charlie Rolsky, and our Special Projects Manager, Dani Rodriguez, will visit the Blue Hill Harbor School for a presentation about the Shaw Institute, followed by a microscope activity on phytoplankton and harmful algal blooms in the Gulf of Maine.

We will provide water samples and have students view the samples under the microscope and identify phytoplankton. Students will leave learning what phytoplankton are and why they’re important to our ecological and human health.
